Video: Big Yellow Taxi
This song by Joni Mitchell and performed by Counting Crows is about destroying natural paradises by building unnecessary facilities and by using chemicals such as DDT for crops. The message is that we don't fully appreciate what we've got until we lose it. Students may tell if this has happened to them and if there is any place they used to love and now it's gone.
